Akshar ("the game", "we", "us") is a free word puzzle game available on the web at akshar-word-game.web.app and on Android via Google Play. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

1. Data We Collect

Akshar stores the following data locally on your device only (via browser localStorage or the Android app's storage). This data never leaves your device and is not sent to any server:

• Your chosen display name and avatar
• Game progress (current puzzle, guesses, solved count)
• Daily run history and streak
• Tutorial completion flag

We do not operate user accounts or databases. Signing in with Google only sets your display name locally.

2. Advertising

Web version: We use Google AdSense to show advertisements. Google may use cookies and device identifiers to serve personalised ads based on your browsing history. See Google's advertising policies.

Android app: We use Google AdMob to show rewarded video ads (optional — only when you choose to watch an ad to earn a hint or extra guess). AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID. See Google's privacy policy.

You can opt out of personalised ads via Google Ad Settings.

3. Third-Party Services

• Google Sign-In (web only) — optional, used solely to set your display name
• Google AdSense / AdMob — advertising, subject to Google's privacy policy
• Firebase Hosting — serves the web app; Firebase may log standard HTTP request metadata (IP address, browser type)

4. Children's Privacy

Akshar is a word puzzle game suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

5. Changes

We may update this policy. Continued use of the game after changes constitutes acceptance.
